At the center there is a Monument to Independence and Humanism on the top of which is a bronze sphere depicting a planet where the map of Uzbekistan is engraved as a symbol of recognition of the sovereignty of the country by the world community. At its foot you will see the statue of a happy mother with a child symbolizing a young independent state. The square is flanked by Government offices: the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan,  the Senate and the Ministry of Finance. The Avenue of Glory and Memory is also situated here.
